fter obtaining a degree in Accounting & Finance from the University of British Columbia, Ranee furthered her studies in fashion at Parsons School of Design, New York. After graduation, she interned at Donna Karen and shortly after, launched her own label "ranee_k" in New York in 1999. In 2000, Ranee opened her first signature shop in Hong Kong.

Coming from a background where the fusion of cultures is a way of life, Ranee's work represents an expressive dialogue between the East and the West. Drawing on her Oriental roots and her love for Art Deco, Ranee defines her distinctive style by offering nostalgic sensibility balanced with self expressive elegance, enhanced by Oriental details. Her design is expressed through asymmetrical yet balanced cutting, which echoes the playfulness of feminine tailored details. More importantly, Ranee believes clothing should offer a sense of confidence and identity to woman in all cultures.
